The agglomeration community of Caen la Mer has been awarded innovative territory and received the gold medal in the « economic development » category at the Interconnectés forum that took place in Lyon on December 12, 2014. This forum is a national privileged meeting for innovative territories regarding digital services. Caen La Mer received this honor for the service « Le Pass Incity » allowing visitors and residents of the territory to discover cultural sites and tourist attractions, to be informed of upcoming events and take advantage of many offers and deals offered by the retailers of Caen La Mer. The community of Caen la mer has announced the launch of the mobile application “Le Pass Incity” during the “université NFC des territoires” held on the 26th and 27th of June 2014 in Caen. This application, developed by dejamobile, uses mobile contactless technologies (NFC and QR Code) to propose a service dedicated to commerce, tourism and leisure throughout the territory of Caen la mer (35 municipalities, more than 240 000 inhabitants).
