Formed in 2012, dejamobile was founded by 3 partners who have worked with the industrial ecosystem on the emergence and standardization of contactless technology such as NFC, Near-Field-Communication, and on the launch of the first mobile payment services within the Orange operator. The co-founders were convinced that this technology, integrated into smartphones and wereables, would become the standard for secure transactions on mobile phones, particularly in the payment and mobility industries
Since its creation, Dejamobile has established itself as the leader in contactless mobile payment solutions in France. In recent years, Dejamobile has pursued an international expansion strategy and has gained the trust of customers in Europe, Latin America and North Africa.
In October 2021, dejamobile has joined the Market Pay group with the ambition to create a future European leader in digital payments.
Dejamobile’s mission is to promote the use of contactless technologies for everyday transactions for the greatest number of people, by offering a simplified and secure experience.
Our head office and R&D teams are based in France, more precisely in Caen-la-mer, at the heart of an ecosystem that saw the birth of NFC technology and the first experiments using this technology in the field of mobile payment as early as 2007. We also have commercial offices in Paris and São Paulo (Brazil). More recently (April 2022), Dejamobile has created an R&D centre in Tunisia, within the “Novation City” technology centre in Sousse.
Our teams have a wide range of skills and expertise: software development, software and hardware security, biometrics, contactless technologies (especially NFC), smart card technology, mobile payments (EMV, Visa, MasterCard, Pure, CB specifications, etc.), agile project management, R&D and innovation, etc.
Houssem Assadi is the CEO of dejamobile, a French Fintech created in 2012. Dejamobile has become one of the leading providers of white-label solutions for digital payments in Europe. Before founding dejamobile, Houssem worked for Orange and was Director of the "security and trusted transactions" Orange lab from 2005 to 2012. His team delivered several projects dealing with NFC, mobile payments and security of networks, platforms and devices. Houssem is a graduate of ENSTA – ParisTech and holds a PhD in Computer Science from Paris 6 University. He started his career working for Electricité de France R&D Division, on Artificial Intelligence projects. He then joined the Bibliothèque nationale de France IT Department, working on large software development projects, before joining France Telecom / Orange R&D Division to be in charge of projects dealing with Customer Intelligence.
Bertrand is a telecommunications engineer and has been actively involved in the growth of mobile telephony services. Bertrand has held operational positions in information system security, production engineering, service platform development and mobile portal development within the Orange Group. Working with his Orange Labs team, he explored and developed new contactless and mobile technologies and services. Graduate of Paris University and ESIEE engineering school, Bertrand is co-inventor of several patents in the field of mobile services and won the “Mobile Marketing” award at the GS1 France summer school.
Ahmad began his career as project manager at Orange Labs where he led the development and deployment of Cityzi technical architecture in Nice. That was then the first launch of a mobile payment offer in Europe. Ahmad also actively contributed in various international standardization groups such as Global Platform and the GSMA. Graduate of ENSEEIHT engineering school and holder of a Master of Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Atlanta, USA), Ahmad is also co-inventor of numerous patents and contributor to technical specifications in the field of mobile and contactless.
Eric has 20+ experience in international business development and marketing in the software, cloud services and telecommunications industries. Before joining Dejamobile as CSO, Eric has held several senior management positions at Witbe (from start-up stage to successful IPO in 2017) and accompanied its development in more than 25 countries. Eric has also a strong background in IP & telecom working at Orange Business Services and other telcos. Eric holds a MSc in Business Strategy from Paris II Univercity and ESCP.
Graduated from both Cardiff University and the University of Nantes with an International Trade Master’s degree, Gaëlle has started her career in Brussels, working with Odoo, a software editor company specialized in ERP systems. She has then joined the leading multinational software corporation SAP as Marketing Operations Manager for 2 years. In 2017, she has joined dejamobile with the objective of setting up the company's marketing department. She has been promoted to Chief Marketing Officer in December 2019 to drive all the communications and marketing operations in the company. After being in charge of various activities for the company; Digital marketing, Content, PR, events... In 2023, Gaelle has been promoted to Chief Product Officer and in charge of the Product Marketing & Strategy.
