Development of a Generic TEE solution for reinforcing HCE mobile payment apps
Dejamobile, in collaboration with Cartes Bancaires, the French payment card scheme, and mobile security experts Trustonic, is currently working on an innovative Generic Secure Trusted Application, leveraging the capabilities of the Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs) with the aim of strengthening the security of Host Card Emulation (HCE) mobile payments.
The project is an industry first initiative in the cyber security arena with the objective to bring a safer and improved user experience to mobile payment apps while making life much easier for app developers.
This white paper explains the use of TEEs in the context of HCE mobile payments and explores why companies deploying HCE mobile payment solutions should consider using TEEs to enable a higher level of security and to minimize the possibility of attacks.
