Crédit Agricole du Languedoc is testing an innovative solution for contactless payments acceptance on merchants’ smartphones, in collaboration with AVEM, Crédit Agricole Payment Services and dejamobile.
Crédit Agricole du Languedoc is piloting a contactless payment acceptance service using dejamobile’s ReadyToTap Payment for Merchants solution.
This Software-only solution don’t need an associated payment terminal or any other payment device to accept payment except for a NFC compatible smartphone. Called “Encaiss’Phone“, this unique initiative is part of the bank’s strategy to offer retailers new-generation payment solutions that simplify the act of payment and meet the new payment trends and uses. This Pilot is based on the solution developed by Dejamobile.
For the merchant, it is a simple and fast solution, which only requires a smartphone and an internet connection. Without having to invest in new equipment, it will enable them to offer their customers an additional service enabling them to pay by any contactless device*, in complete security, wherever they are and whatever the amount of the transaction**.
This experimentation is part of a wider process of payment innovation conducted by Crédit Agricole Payment Services with the Group’s banks, an approach designed to test customers’ appetite for new services. Crédit Agricole du Languedoc is positioning itself not only as the first regional bank but also as the first bank in France to test this innovative solution. In doing so, Crédit Agricole du Languedoc is enhancing both its role as an innovative player and its commitment to developing the local economy by getting as close as possible to the needs of merchants.
The Encaiss’Phone innovation marks an unavoidable change in the way cash is handled and will prove to be a technological breakthrough to which Crédit Agricole du Languedoc will have contributed.
