Customer updates

RCH, the Italian specialist in advanced point-of-sale solutions (cash registers) has partnered with Dejamobile and Market Pay to offer its customers the ability to accept contactless payments on Android NFC devices.

The new RCH Pay service allows merchants to connect their  cash register to a standard Android NFC smartphone or tablet so that they can accept contactless payments. RCH Pay leverages the SoftPOS technology of Dejamobile’s solution, ReadyToTap Payment for Merchants, as well as Market Pay’s acquiring service allowing RCH to complete and expand its product offering for payment acceptance.

For merchants, they can simply download the RCH PayBox app to their Android device, activate the RCH Pay service and then begin accepting contactless payments. The service also allows merchants to send customers a payment receipt via email or SMS.

“Using RCH Pay allows the merchant to combine the convenience of using a familiar device with the advantage of not having to purchase external hardware dedicated to the point-of-sale function,” RCH says in its press release.

“In addition to providing greater flexibility – RCH Pay can be used at the point of sale but also on the go – The service provides a real-time view of the history of all transactions made which, through the use of this service, are credited directly to the point of sale bank account.”

“We are delighted to be working with RCH and the Market Pay team in France and Italy to deploy a Tap on Phone solution that provides merchants with a flexible, easy-to-use and cost-effective way to accept contactless payments using a regular Android device,” testifies Houssem Assadi, CEO at Dejamobile.

“SoftPOS technology offers merchants of all sizes many benefits, including the ability to quickly and easily update payment acceptance software as new payment options come to market.”
